Meet SAINT.

Liam Kolt
  • Liam Kolt, Winnipeg.

  • Started to get my hair cut at saint then I fell in love with the shop.

  • Being able to make my art a career and provide a service that will be make my client happy.

  • I love doing scissors cuts and European inspired haircuts, I really enjoy doing hair colour designs on short hair

  • My attention to detail would set me apart from most barbers because I genuinely care about the services that I’m providing

  • My most memorable project would have to be my final project for hair-school it was a hair tattoo with a story behind it, that got brought to life through a photoshoot.

  • I’m motivated by my team at saint, and to grow and be a better and better barber everyday.

  • I like to draw and play video games and trying to learn a new form of art!

  • I’ve been drawing since I was 4 years old.

Makinley Tauber
  • Makinley Tauber, Winnipeg, MB.

  • I found out about Saint from one of my friends showing me Scott’s instagram page. From there, I knew I had to learn from him.

  • I always knew I wanted to do something creative for the rest of my life. I’ve been a dancer since I was 6 years old, so I’ve grown up doing all my friends’ hair!

  • The services I specialize in are men’s cuts and perms.

  • Book with me and find out!

  • My biggest success story would be graduating and starting my dream job at Saint.

  • What motivates me to keep growing in this industry is just simply my love for it. In addition, you never stop learning or having to adapt. To me, this career will never get old.

  • Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, working out, and going to local events.

  • A fun fact about me is that I love Marvel!

Jireh Castronuevo
  • My name Jireh…. Castronuevo. I’m from the Philippines but lived in Winnipeg for 12 years.

  • I chose Saint because I felt a sense of belonging with like-minded and goal driven people.

  • The fact that you can change a person on how they feel about themselves and smile. Also to showcase your creativity through the language of hair.

  • I love giving a nice crishpppppy taper. But all seriousness I focus on clean fades and slick haircuts.

  • Something that separates me from others is that I can connect with others really well.

  • Something I am proud of and what really pushed me in the career is when I do a “Chrome Hearts” Hair Paint Tattoo project I did.

  • The limitless creativity and possibilities you can come out of this. Like working with big name brand or even building your own.

  • I really enjoy being active like sports or working out and self-growth like reading books or education.

  • Might be really weird but my right pinky is shorter than my left due to long periods of holding my iPad as a kid putting all the weight on the pinky causing it to deform.

Kennedy Toews
  • Kennedy Toews, Steinbach, MB.

  • I chose SAINT, because this is a place that allows your creativity and individuality run wild. The atmosphere is positive, uplifting and overall provides a comforting family feel.

  • What inspired me was the ability to meet new people and help them bring their vision to life. I love being able to help people and having them walk out with a smile on their face. Creativity and fashion are two things I love and being able to bring them together is what inspired me to enter the hair industry.

  • Colour services, highlights-fashion colours. Layered cuts, and mens scissor cuts.

  • I love to set goals for myself that may even seem unrealistic. I work hard to achieve what I thought couldn’t be achieved or may seem too hard. My self discipline on getting to the point of where I am is what sets me aside from others.

  • Amidst the COVID pandemic, a striking moment was when my Grandma was diagnosed with cancer. She underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy, resulting in the unfortunate loss of all her hair. However, by July 2022, she had completed her chemo, and her hair began to regrow. What amazed me was that her curls came back even stronger than before. In the past, she had always worn her hair straight, but now her natural curls were more prominent. To honor her courage and triumph, I suggested we embrace her new curls as a celebration of her journey. She agreed, and I had the privilege of cutting and styling her hair in a way that showcased her beautiful curls while keeping maintenance easy.

  • I love learning and seeing new trends and styles appear. Staying up to date with all the latest trends and styles is what will help me excel, while also investing in eduction to further my learning and ability to create new looks.

  • I love playing sports in my free time, such as Baseball, volleyball, golf & going to the gym. I enjoy all types of music and try to see my favourite artists live whenever possible.

  • I am currently in Asper School of Business looking to improve my knowledge and move forward in the hair industry.

  • Let me give you a little insight. I go by the name of Amber Victor. Born and raised in Manitoba, originally a country girl and then moved into the city year of 2013.

  • SAINT is a shop that you can walk into and automatically feel good energy. It is undeniably a space filled with people who have such passion for the talent that they have which is why I chose to be part of the team.

  • I wanted to be a barber because of how creative you can be and the end results are always so rewarding.

  • Since I have been with the team, I have learned an incredible amount of skills, and I absolutely love doing men’s cuts.

  • I’m a free spirit, and open to always do/try new things.

  • The first moment haircuts started to click and I finally understood how to fade.

  • There is so much to learn in this industry and so many talented people, including all of my teammates. I look look up to them and watching them daily makes me want to work even harder and be the best I can be.

  • Outside of work I love to be adventurous and spontaneous but also love a good movie night.

  • I used to be more of an introvert, and maybe I still am - unless you’re sitting in my chair, because at that point, I don’t know how to stop talking. I love getting to know my clients, and I love building new relationships. Come sit in my chair, and let’s connect.

Breyden Turner
  • Breyden Turner and I am Grand Rapids, Manitoba.

  • It was just a preset decision when I was in hair school. I’ve heard many good things about the brand and I’ve realize the potential growth I can have for myself so it was a no brainer.

  • I’ve never thought of ever becoming a barber. I’ve had a good buddy of mine recommend it years ago. I was let go from a good job, which I thought was gonna be my career in 2017, so I said to myself let’s take a chance on this barbering thing. it was the best decision I ever made for myself.

  • I specialize in just giving the client the best experience he/or she can have. My job is to make them walk out of my chair 100% more confident.

  • My ability to make good, humorous conversation. I’m a very outgoing dude and I can appreciate a good conversation.

  • Being able to educate a class, it’s a current dream of mine to travel the world within the industry sharing my story through cutting hair.

  • My kids.

  • I’m a big hockey guy, but I just love being active in general, gym and being with my kids.

  • I love making babies.

Joshua Lopez
  • Joshua Lopez, Winnipeg Manitoba

  • Saint chose me, more specifically Scott chose me.

  • I was lost in life and had no direction, I picked up my clippers and never looked back.

  • Freestyle designs.

  • I compete in bodybuilding, and enjoy creating content.

  • Winning the newcomer category at the saint barber battle as I didn’t believe in myself as a barber and that win only skyrocketed my confidence and career as a barber.

  • My coworkers, my family, my clients, knowing that they support me no matter what direction I choose to go.

  • Bodybuilding.

  • I used to be overweight about 240lbs and lost 100lbs and did my first bodybuilding show at 139lbs.

Brandson Hein
  • Brandson Hein, Winnipeg.

  • I chose Saint because Famos is a world renowned barber and I wanted a mentor that was of that quality.

  • I never got my haircut the way i wanted growing up and for me to be able to give people what I couldn’t have when I was young gives me a sense of fulfilment. I also really resonated with the atmosphere of the barbershop when I decided to pursue barbering. It reminded me a lot of the locker room because I played hockey full time, up until that time.

  • I specialize in fading.

  • I buy new clippers every month hahahaha.

  • Finishing hair school.

  • To be able to financially excel towards my dreams while doing something I love that’s good for the community.

  • Sports, learning business, travel.

  • I played hockey in USA.

Jestoni Villanueva

Jestoni Villanueva

aka Valentine

  • My name is Jestoni Villanueva AKA Valentine but follow me on the IG @Villaworldwide. I’m from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

  • I didn’t choose saint, saint chose me.

  • The freedom of being my own boss and expressing my creativity either through doing hair, how I dress or shoot content. I also wanted a career where I can just hang out with my friends all day and be myself without feeling restricted of who I am as a person.

  • I love doing all scissor haircuts or texture fringe cuts. In terms of fading, I love doing drop fades.

  • The world will soon find out 👁️

  • I remember being in my first year of university on a track scholarship. I’ve only been cutting for less than a year and I decided to enter the all city barber battle in the under 19 category. I knew I was the less experienced one in the battle but I surprisingly ended up winning it. Shortly after I dropped out of university, quit running track and gave this career my all. I’m just thankful to have a career that I enjoy everyday I think that’s my biggest success so far is having a career!

  • I respectfully just want to be the best in the barber industry. As cheesy as it sounds I want to leave my mark and become someone memorable in the barber game like my boss, Famos.

  • Barbering and my side projects take up most of my time, but as of recently I like to make time for golfing, running and hanging out with family and friends.

  • Book with me and find out :)
